The flavor of the cocktail pairs well with the fall season and gives reminiscing notes of sherry, fig, nuts, and lemon, with a touch of earthiness and smoke to make you feel at home within your own cabin.

Ingredients

1.25 oz 
Sherry blend*
.75 oz 
Reposado Tequila
.75 oz 
Laird's Apple Jack 100 proof
.25 oz 
Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
.5 oz 
Hoo Doo Chichory Liqueur
1 dash 
Bittermen's Mole Bitters
1 dash 
Peychaud's Bitters
1 dash 
Angostura Bitters
Garnish 
flamed grapefruit twist

Directions

*Sherry blend
1 part La Guita Manzanilla
1 part Hartley & Gibson Pedro Ximenez
3 part Lustau Don Nuño Oloroso

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a coupe and garnish with a flamed grapefruit twist.

Pairing Oloroso with food

The ideal temperature at which to serve an Oloroso is at between 12 and 14ºC. 

This is the most suitable wine to accompany red meat and game. It combines perfectly with meat stews and casseroles; especially gelatinous meat such as bull's tail or cheeks. The perfect match for wild mushrooms and well cured cheeses.
