An oasis of Spanish food, drink and culture in the heart of Wales' capital city, opposite the millennium stadium. After operating in Cowbridge and Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan since 2002, we thought the time was right to expand our take on modern Spanish food and drink to Cardiff, which was lacking a top quality Spanish establishment.
Our focus is excellently sourced produce from unique and exceptional producers, paired with wonderful sherries, Spanish wines, cava and a sherry inspired cocktail menu. We have a huge passion and thirst for sherry. In Cardiff we have the added bonus of having had 3 barrels seasoned for us at Gonzalez Byass, Jerez. We serve amontillado, palo cortado and oloroso from these casks, a wonderful centrepiece of the bar. We also showcase the stunning manzanilla's of Bodegas Baron, fresh into the UK for the first time.
A modern take on cocktail making is a common theme in each bar 44 restaurant, but with sherry at the heart of many.

Xixarito manzanilla pasada en rama – with Wild Huelva prawns and a Moorish spiced warm mayonnaise

Leonor palo cortado from the barrel – with presa ibérica a la plancha, Pembroke potatoes, watercress purée
