Tutored Sherry Masterclass with Sánchez Romate
Thursday, November 6th
Join us for an exclusive tutored sherry tasting with the producers from Romate, one of Spain’s historic sherry houses.
Explore a curated selection of exceptional sherries, guided by the experts themselves, and discover the nuances of this unique fortified wine.
Sánchez Romate is one of the oldest family-owned sherry houses still operating in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre, the bodega has spent over two centuries combining traditional winemaking with thoughtful modern touches.
Their wines begin in the unique albariza soils of western Andalusia, under the region’s bright sunshine and dry air. Using classic sherry grapes — Palomino, Moscatel, and Pedro Ximénez — each wine is aged in American oak casks using the criaderas y soleras system, the traditional method that gives sherry its depth, complexity, and character.
Enjoy our carefully selected no-cook tapas-style bites alongside the sherries:
This tasting is designed for exploration and discovery — mix and match the sherries with the food and let your palate guide you.
