Sherry Effect: From the Bodega to the Whisky Cask Join us for an evening dedicated to sherry's journey, from how it is made in the bodegas of the Sherry Triangle to the mark its casks leave on whisky around the world.
We will follow the wine from vineyard and solera to the cask, then trace the "sherry effect" through a guided comparative tasting of six whiskies matured or finished in sherry casks, with a sherry served alongside as a reference point for the aromas and textures we are looking for.
The session is a structured, small-group tasting designed for curious drinkers and whisky enthusiasts alike.
No prior knowledge is needed.
Presented by Gökhan Gökalan, whisky educator and Certified Sherry Educator (Consejo Regulador Jerez-Xérès-Sherry), founder of HepsiViski, Turkey's whisky education platform.
