"El Lopo is a humble neighborhood bar from an alternate world in which California remained a territory of Spain. We apply Spanish flavors and style to familiar American ingredients and beverages while embracing California’s slow food values. They specialize in sherry, vermouth, cider, and wine from both of our motherlands."
El Lopo's sherry list spans all styles and features at least ten sherries by the glass at any given time, and the food menu is always curated with sherry pairings in mind. They also like to demonstrate the versatility of sherry in their cocktails, most of which use sherry rather than distilled spirits as a base.
Join them every Tuesday for Sherry-oke Night, when we offer any sherry for $5 per glass to those brave enough to get up and sing karaoke.

Our favorite food pairing: Bodegas Yuste Aurora Manzanilla (al grifo!) with anchovy-stuffed olives in preserved lemon vinaigrette
