An Introduction to the Wines of Sherry by the Guild of Sommeliers

21 March 2016

The wines of Jerez are wines of a distinct place.  They have evolved over thousands of years of history and have been created through the special alchemy that exists solely in Jerez, Spain.  Produced by The Guild of Sommeliers, an international membership organization for sommeliers and wine professionals, here is an opportunity to learn about Sherry wines from the people who live and breathe them every day.  Featuring Vicky González of González Byass, Eduardo Ojeda of Bodegas Valdespino,  Daniel Martínez of Bodegas Tradición, Montserrat Molina of Bodegas Barbadillo, Miguel Gutiérrez of Bodegas Hidalgo, and Beltrán Domecq, the President of the Consejo Regulador himself, they're here to tell you about the history, culture, influences, processes, and styles of Sherry wines.
