Ambiente Tapas is an independent tapas restaurant and sherry bar with five sites across Yorkshire. We opened our Hull restaurant in 2016 on Humber Street, one of Hull’s favourite streets full of independent businesses so we certainly feel right at home! Whilst the exterior of our restaurant retains a touch of the building’s past, the interior has been transformed into a contemporary, vibrant and upbeat space with a host of knowledgeable staff ready to welcome you with open arms, all of who are very enthusiastic about sherry!
Inside you’ll find an open plan dining area, featuring booths, banquets and tables as well as a bar area. For those summer days, our outdoor seating area overlooking the marina will whisk you away to the Mediterranean.
At Ambiente, our interest in sherry is all encompassing.
We write our menus around it, we send staff out to Jerez to get a feel for it and the local culture, we even employ our very own Sherry Educator in our Group General Manager, Rob Scott-South. Our wine list is full of dry sherry from some of the most prominent sherry producers in the Sherry Triangle including Bodegas Gonzalez Byass, Bodegas Barbadillo and Bodegas Lustau. For those looking to try different styles of dry sherries or discover where their tastes lie, we offer Sherry Flights that offers a taste of three different sherries.
