In celebration of International Sherry Week, join us at Mama Delia/Bordel on Weds. 11/5 from 7-10 pm for a special night of Flamenco and the sherries of Bodegas Valdespino!
Bodegas Valdespino is one of the oldest sherry producers in the world. Originally founded in 1264 when King Alfonso awarded Knight Alfonso Valdespino vineyards for helping free Jerez from the Moors, the current commercial incarnation of the winery dates back to 1875 and has been the supplier of wines for the royal families of Spain and Sweden. Painstakingly adherent to traditional methods of Sherry production, the wines of Valdespino are an exercise in balancing terroir and technique.
Tickets will include a guided tasting of four Valdespino expression and a Flamenco guitar/dance performance.
Additionally, Bordel’s award winning bar team will be offering a special menu of sherry cocktails and rare pours of sherry from Mama Delia’s extensive collection.
